Our Standards

What it means to be an SCN practitioner

The Skin Camouflage Network is committed to building public trust in skin camouflage as a profession. Every Accredited and Advanced Practitioner listed in our directory has met the standards below.

Verified qualifications & insurance

Accredited and Advanced Practitioners have their training certificates and professional indemnity insurance verified by SCN before listing, and at each renewal.

Code of professional conduct

All members agree to act with integrity, honesty and respect, to maintain client confidentiality, and to practise within the boundaries of their training.

Continuing professional development

Members are expected to keep their skills current through ongoing training, peer learning and engagement with industry developments.

Client-centred, evidence-informed care

Practitioners offer realistic outcomes, suitable product or treatment choices and aftercare guidance grounded in the best available knowledge.

Verification cycle

Accredited and Advanced Practitioners are subject to ongoing verification in line with SCN professional standards. Valid insurance is required and reviewed annually to ensure continued compliance. Qualifications and supporting credentials are verified at the point of admission and reviewed on expiry or where professional requirements dictate. Practitioners who do not maintain the required standards or valid insurance may have their public listing temporarily suspended until compliance is achieved.
